Arpeggio is a fine example of a west coast designed and built sailboat. The Windward
850 is a safe, strong, fast cruising boat designed and built for the special wind and water
conditions found in our part of the world.*
The hull features a hand laid twill with carbon fibre reinforcement. The deck is hand laid twill with ½" balsa core for added strength. The hull and deck are epoxy bonded to form a monocoque structure.
Recent maintenance and upgrades include:
Lewmar windlass with foot switches on the foredeck and toggle in the cockpit
Folding mast steps
Raymarine ST-60 series, depth, knot meter and wind instruments
Mainsheet traveller
Dual battery banks with 2 T-105 house batteries

There is a large V berth up front with an enclosed head aft of the V berth on the port. The
port side features a settee that opens into a tight double berth. The star board side has a
smaller settee and galley behind that. The galley has a 4 burner cook stove, a
questionable oven, sink with electric and manual pumps and an ice-box.
There is plenty of storage above and below the settees. Finally a quarter-berth on the rear port side completes the living arrangements. The cockpit is spacious with tiller steering which folds up and out of the way when not being used. All lines except for the main sheet and reefing lines lead aft. For protection from the elements the boat features a hard dodger with clear acrylic windows. This boat is powered by an Isuzu 2 cylinder diesel engine with about 3000 hours on it.
